Jessica loves teaching, and in addition to her undergrad and graduate students at GSU, she runs a flute studio out of her home in Grant Park. She enjoys helping students achieve their potential, whether that means taking professional orchestra or conservatory auditions, making All State, rekindling an old love of music, or learning to play an instrument and the discipline that entails. Mastering an instrument can be incredible for personal development. It's about learning responsibility and creative problem-solving.

She coaches on technique and tone - of course - but also musicality, which I especially appreciate because it's hard to notice deficiencies in musicality with out some seasoned guidance. She is always accessible over email and text and even helped me get ready for an audition while she was out of town for a summer gig by reviewing recordings of my playing and offering valuable feedback. Jessica has been a wonderful teacher for me! I used to play until college and recently decided to pick up flute again.
